We hear the first hand perspectives from supply chain leaders within these organizations on what their priorities were and what measures were taken to reach their goals. We then establish what recommendations can be drawn from these insights and how they might apply to your supply chain.

“Supply Chain Collaboration: RIM Collaborative Planning”

During this past year, RIM, developed and implemented a more structured CPFR program, that it is calling RCP or “RIM Collaborative Planning.  During this session, we will discuss the components of RCP, and why this more structured and formalized approach to CPFR has been so successful with RIM’s Carrier Partners.  We will also discuss some of the many benefits RCP has provided RIM and their Carrier Partners, such as improved demand forecasting accuracy, reduction in inventory levels, and improved Customer Service.

"Supply Chain Transformations are Old News"

Cost, Quality and Service are cost of entry today for a supply chains.  Transforming to meet these type of goals will not put you in a leadership role.  Bringing  value to customers through flexibility and responsiveness thru segmented collaboration with the right system tools will produce mutual savings and growth.  Colgate is well down this path with global customers and is a primary reason why Colgate is in the AMR Top 25 for the second straight year.

“Building Supply Chain alignment with end market expectations through SCOR®”

There are many supply chains serving both domestic and international markets through a network of plants and 3rd party contractors.  These end market channels require varying levels of performance as it relates to reliability, responsiveness, flexibility, cost, and asset management.  Building supply chain/manufacturing strategies around these requirements is essential to success.  MWV is enabling this approach through SCOR® to align the organization in order to identify gaps and drive value where needed most.

-          Lowering inventory levels

-          Improving customer service

-          Measuring supply chain performance

Join Jennifer Hughey, Electrolux Home Care Products to learn how building trust in your supply chain solution can help you improve operations, measure and track your success, gain better visibility and become a more responsive business.

“Moving Beyond S&OP and Demand Forecasting to Responsiveness Forecasting”

The ability to service is no longer a competitive advantage in supply chain management.  It is a requirement to stay in the game. Walmart’s Supply Chain Reliability Program is a continuing trend of retailer requirements’ becoming more and more stringent.  The potential risk of fines will reduce your bottom line and oh, by the way, do more with less and reduce your working capital.  Since the forecast by definition is wrong, you will fail if improving forecast accuracy is your primary strategy. Although there are no silver bullets, understanding capacity, response time, increasing supplier and manufacturing flexibility, and communication through S&OP provide a solid foundation for success.  Beyond this, are you evaluating the range your supply chain can respond to when the forecast is exceeded or missed?

The Best Case: How Distributors Transform Their Supply Chain and Achieve Excellence

To remain competitive and respond to business growth, distributors will overhaul entire distribution operations, from designing and moving to a new facility, to evaluating and implementing new systems and processes. In this must-hear session, Nature’s Best President & CEO Jim Beck and enVista’s CEO Jim Barnes detail how Nature’s Best transitioned its $250M business from a four-building, multi-touch mechanized operation into a LEAN, one-touch, right-touch, one building system – without missing disrupting its supply chain or losing a single customer. The 18-month project included: a Material Flow Analysis, Facility Design, WMS Selection & Implementation, Labor Management System, Labor Performance Standards and Slotting. As a result, Nature’s Best significantly reduced labor and inventory costs, improved cube utilization and inventory accuracy, improved visibility, eliminated the use of temp workers and improved on-time performance and delivery.
